Need For a large software development company, the field sales managers needed guidance and standards for how to determine if their new employee was on track to be competent to sell independently at the end of one year. They also needed easy access to resources if the employee needed additional help.

D+A developed a framework of job skills that were simple to demonstrate at the beginning of the employee’s year, and became more complex by the end of the year. This framework was a 360 degree description of the job so that the employee could engage customers, partners, and team members to ensure quota attainment.
